Little Brown Koko Sugar Cookie

1 cup butter
3 1/2 cup flour
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs beaten
1 cup hickory nuts (chopped fine)  (substitute pecan nuts if hickory nuts are not available)
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter; add sugar, mix thoroughly. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Add sifted flour, soda and salt. Mix in chopped nuts. Shape into two rolls. Chill 24 hours. Cut into thin slices. Bake in 400 degree oven on parchment paper lined cookie sheet for about 10 minutes.
