Biker's Ginger Oatmeal Cookies

  1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  3/4 cup softened butter
  1 egg
  1/4 cup light molasses
  1 teaspoon vanilla
  1 3/4 cup all purpose flour

  2 teaspoon baking soda
  1 teaspoon cinnamon
  1/2 teaspoon ginger
  1/2 teaspoon cloves
  2 cup quick-cook rolled oats
  1 cup chopped black walnuts

Heat oven to 350 F.  Lightly grease cookie sheets or use parchment paper. In a larger bowl, beat brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add egg; beat well. Blend in molasses and vanilla. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add flour and remaining ingredients; mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart onto grease cookie sheets.

 Bake at 350 F for 7-10 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheets. Cool on wire racks. 4 dozen cookies.
