World's Best Cookies

1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
1 cup Crisco oil
1 cup rolled oats, regular
1 cup crushed Cornflakes

1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
3 1/2 cups sifted al purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla mixing well. Then add oil, mixing well. Add oats, Cornflakes, coconut and nuts, stirring well. Then add flour, soda and salt. Mix well and form into balls. Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Flatten with a fork dipped in water. Bake in preheated oven at 325 for 13 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet for 3 minutes. Makes 8 dozen.
