Square Wheels
Chapter 128

February 2013

1/18 & 1/19

What a wonderful weekend at Oklawaha camping with the Gypsys,
we had about 25 rigs, and 50+ people signed in with 5 squares dancing most of the time with another 1 square sitting out to socialize.
Bill Chesnut & guest caller Rod Barngrover from Barberville, FL did a wonderful job with the square dancing on Saturday
& plenty of round dancing with Ed Hauck in between the tips, glad you saved Mission Bell Waltz until the last dance!
We had a hot dog/hamburger lunch with plenty of side dishes for Saturday lunch,
thanks to all that prepared the meal & brought the side dishes.
Bill held a work shop Saturday afternoon; sure wish I had attended as I messed up plenty of squares on Saturday night.
We had guest dancers from Ocala, Hank & Harlene Holzchuh.
Bobbie & Bill Calton came on Saturday to socialize & celebrate her 89th Birthday, congratulations Bobbie.
We were sorry you were not able to dance
We had a wonderful covered dish dinner Saturday night, always plenty of good food, and who doesn’t like preparing new dishes & getting new recipes from others.
We just like sampling everything.
We held our business meeting following our dinner, then it was back to dancing.  Can’t get enough of dancing!
They even got me up for Sunday breakfast, pancakes & sausage, grits by Mary & fresh fruit, donuts, orange juice & coffee.
Wow, who could have asked for anything more!  They all let me know when I arrived.
Of course I was not the only one who is not a regular at breakfast, I think I had some more cohorts,
Joanne & Sherry to name a couple. And quite a few missing, won’t name names!
Thanks go to Bob & Barbara, Bill & Mary for preparing our feast.
We certainly couldn’t complain about the weather.
Sunny & temps in the 70’s during the day.
Our after parties are always fun with all the snacks & socializing.
