SPUDTACULAR WEEKEND  INDEED
MARCH CAMP OUT

Who would have thought you could have so much fun with potatoes.
The POTATO PAGEANT was a huge success.
How clever were the contestants, not to mention their talented creators.
It was really hard to vote for the top three, as they were all so darn cute.
First place went to David Seay with ‘R2Potat2’;
Second place went to Laura Ramey with the 'Potato Couple’;
and Third place went to De Casteel with her 'Hog Valley Potato Piglet’ (which was dressed in pink ruffles).

Check out all the fun in Smilebox.  It has been posted to the Gypsy Squares #168 on the FANSDC site.
Also, the news letters are posted there.  It's a good way to see what is going on or what you have missed.

We had 23 camper plus some drop in visitor for Saturday night dance.
Bill kept us moving to some Irish jigs.
We really amazed Bill at his work shop, and it keeps us amused too.
Ann had better results with the round dancers at her workshop.
All and all, a great dance weekend.  Thanks Bill and Ann.

For our Saturday night dinner,  Stuff Your Spud, was great. Teri and Jay found enormous baking potatoes.
We had everything to top your potato, plus side dishes and salads.
I must say we ended up stuffed too.
When in line for the potato bar you had to pass the dessert table.  Well that was too tempting,
You just had to snatch one of Donna Seay's hot fired potato zeppole's, rolled in sugar and stuffed with raspberry jelly.  To die for.
Lorraine Piecora made Italian marzipan cookies they where so pretty and good.
Both clubs always go above and beyond, and that is what makes it so special.

We had after parties both nights and played some short games.
Saturday night was the time change, so the game was to list how many ways there are to tell time.
Laura and Wayne out did themselves, but others had things that were not on their list.
It was pretty interesting.  And of course there was wine and plenty of snacks that made the rounds.

Sunday morning breakfast was extra early with the time change.
Thanks to our breakfast crew - Dolly, Allen, Ron, Gary and I - we got the coffee going (so we could get going).
We just had to finish off  the weekend with more potato's, so we fried up hash browns to go with the pancakes, sausages and sliced oranges.

Thanks to everyone who set up the tables and took them down.

Our best keep secret is out...
KOA Lake Oklawaha RV Park has become popular with the ATV's now that the trails are open again.
Other clubs are also finding out about this campground.
Would you believe that December 2016  is already booked?
There is a Good Sam's Club booked with us for the December camp out, but we will have the club house.
Please note they are taking reservations for sites, so give them a call and make your reservation early and get your site number.
