NSDCA Chapter 168

News Letters

Seasons Greetings and a Happy New Year

The Christmas campout was a huge success
There were 35 rigs and 76 people were served dinner
The hall was all decked out thanks to all the busy elves who hung lights on the tree,
stuffed goodie bags and prepared a great dinner

Friday afternoon the rigs pulled in and set up making our own Christmas camping village

That night's dance looked all festive in our Holiday sweaters and crazy hats and socks
Our thanks to Mark Fetzer who was our guest caller and Susan Snider for cueing
So glad they found their way to Oklawaha RV Park. First time out is always a challenge

We always have the best after parties
What a sight - reindeer wearing stocking antlers,
their teams stuffing hose with balloons. To darn funny

Saturday was a beautiful day for the Hog Valley parade and our annual raid on the Thrift shop
After which a hot dog and chip lunch was served
Bill called an afternoon workshop

The long, long table was set for dinner
The gift bags and felt mice made for a festive table
A wonderful ham dinner was prepared by Jay and Teri Peck and a team of helpers
Thank you so much. OUTSTANDING!!

We all took part in making a Miss You Video for our beloved Joanne Engum
It went virile on Facebook

Before the night's dance Gail welcomed visitors
John & Dolly Ide who are Presidents of FANSDC
Bob & Joanne Johns and a family from RI
The Faria’s
So glad they joined in all the fun
The best surprise was John and Judi Corbett at the campout
John is recovering from having a lung removed

Our thanks to Bill Chestnut (our great caller)
Mary and our wonderful cuer Ann Hadsall
Cards and gifts were given to them
Gail thanked the Gypsy Squares board members for all their support and serving for another year 2015
Sharing the camping calendar with the Square Wheels has been a huge success and blessing for both clubs

The event of the weekend
Our gift exchange afterparty, went faster but it was just as much fun as ever
I lost count how many bottles of wine Bob had and lost
And the question of the night "did it come with batteries?"

Sunday's Farewell pancake and sausage breakfast was served
Hugs and best wishes were shared by all
2016 plans are in the making
Keep on camping and dancing…
